Cheikhna Diouf (Astroneo)
My name is Cheikhna Diouf a.k.a. Astroneo, come from Paris, France. Since my Childhood, I am a fan of New Arts concepts and New Technologies, That's why today I became an Imagineer (Engineer and Designer), a Robotic hobbyist (Participating in Urbi and Nao developers community) and a Press editor working for the French robotic magazine "Planète Robots".
How did your interest in robots /
My Interest in robotic started like many others with Manga animations and Sci-Fi Movies, Those arts are very good references and inspirations for imaginations and new concepts ^^
What kind of actions needs to be done in
the community to increase the interest and the awareness of robots
Well, Good question, this is my suggestion: I am currently working with some friends in world, on a new future organization called "Art-Tech International", a Robotic, Mechatronic Artistic world community projects and I suggest you to join and participate actively with us, sure you will all love it ! ;)
Art-Tech International is a Fun! a non-profit organization for robotic and mechatronic projects and will follow the movement of free alternatives solutions to Industrial products market, like Open software/Hardware and the DIY phenomenon (Do It Yourself).
The purpose of Art-Tech is to innovate with impressive new Cool robots (fusion of new art concepts and new technologies) with the help of world collaborative minds, skills and imaginations, we will also use many solutions from open source Research in software, hardware and robotic. We will at last promote our products and concepts in world and participate to world Arts and Robotics events and contests.
This is my plan to increase the interest and awareness of robotics by making it Free, Fun and Easy to access for all. Don't hesitate to join us for some new concepts and innovations; we just need your skills in imaginations ;)
If you have any closing remarks or
comments about robots / robotics, then go ahead.
Just Never forget that Art is the origin of Robotic and a last message from our old friend for researchers and roboticists: "IMAGINATION is more important than knowledge" (Albert Einstein)
